Victoria Anderson - July 2005
Victoria and her friend Tracy were the first bridle riders to try the Yorkshire Wolds network after we opened it in the summer of 2005, and they did a 2-day ride between Malton and Sledmere. Even though they rode at the end of July, they had one really wet afternoon on their second day.
"The B&Bs both nights were lovely - very welcoming, lovely accommodation and extremely obliging, although there was some confusion about the horse feed at Life Hill. Chris and Philippa at Low Penhowe were wonderful and invited us in, dripping wet, to change clothes and have a hot drink before we loaded the horses and went home. It was very much appreciated!"
Victoria sent lots of really detailed feedback on the routes, and summed up her holiday by saying that the Yorkshire Wolds "is a beautiful area to ride with some fabulous bridleways. I hope many more Bridle Riders take on the challenge and enjoy themselves there!"

Angela Gotheridge - August 2005
Angela rode with her friend Claire, and they did a 3-day place to place ride with an extra petal ride from Sledmere on their last day. Claire's horse went lame a couple of weeks before the start of the ride and, rather than cancelling, the two girls took a mountain bike along and took turns to ride Angie's horse, Star. Bobbie from Bridle Rides fell in love with Star and thinks she must be very well behaved because she is ridden in just a headcollar!
Angie summed up her feedback by saying "Thanks for a super holiday again - you booked us super weather, dry but not hot. The terrain was quite hilly at times, but the views at the top more than made up for it (especially on the bike)! All the hosts were fanstastic, with lovely accommodation (nice if you like that extra bit of pampering)! Star enjoyed it too, and settled fine in the fields by herself. I was a bit worried how she would react without Claire's horse for company away from the busy livery yard at home, but I think she enjoyed the peace and quiet".
